Mike's smile said it all, I never heard him raise his voice in the 44 years i knew him.
His patience was incredible, his knowledge of engines and all mechanical was unbelievable.
I remember in the early days of meeting the Davidson, we were down in the cellar at 67 Poppythorn Lane I was lucky enough to see watch Mike and Sean build some speakers for Seans bedroom....just one of the many projects they did together....has anyone mentioned the Allegro ?
67 PL was my second home ...and all were welcome...and they had a video !! I remember sh!tting my self inside out after watching American Werewolf in London !! I think Mike too was a bit on edge, however Ange thought it was hilarious
The Davidsons are a special family to me and my family now...I'll never ever forget the times I had there...no I didn't break the cabinet it was Doyley...what about the Allegro?
As a father myself when the kids were younger (even now actually) I did often think of Mike and how calm he was especially with those 3 stooges and the chaos they caused, how did he do it ?
RIP Mike you are a one in a million and we will all miss you so much, I'm so pleased Sami, Hamish & Sophie met and get to know you, Ange (mum) love you so much & be strong today xxx
The O'Connor's down under
23rd October 2024
He never looked for praises He was never one to boast He just went on quietly working For the ones he loved the most.
His dreams were seldom spoken His wants were very few And most of the time his worries Went unspoken too.
He was there.... A firm foundation Through all our storms of life A sturdy hand to hold on to In times of stress and strife.
A true friend we could turn to When times were good or bad One of our greatest blessings The man that we called Dad.
