Grandad was quite possibly one of the most amazing people I had the privilege of knowing. I cant quite believe I was lucky enough to of known him for almost 25 years, and that still didn’t feel like long enough.
He was the one who would always have the warm towel waiting for us after a bath when we were babies, giving us a squeeze to get us dry. He was the one who would take us on daft “shortcuts” on holiday which always made the trip 2 hours longer. He was the one who used to put a big dollop of honey in our porridge. He was the one who called us Chuck. 
He was the one who would (reluctantly) share his chocolate with us. He was the one who would put smooth radio on which we hated but can now appreciate. He was the one who would fall asleep in his armchair, puffing and snoring and then deny being asleep. He was the one who would give us the best life lessons, and I could never repay him for that. 
He is going to be missed for reasons some people may not understand, but we understand. 
He was the most incredible grandad and we are so lucky we can call him our grandad.
